Welcome to do.jo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the do.jo mobile application and website at dojo.expert (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use do.jo. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@dojo.expert if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your information up to date.
Applicants use do.jo to train on certification paths, earn belts, and become visible to employers. By creating an applicant account, you understand that your profile information (name, belt level, certifications, quiz scores, location) will be visible to verified employers in the do.jo candidate directory. Your contact information (phone, email, resume) is only released when an employer explicitly chooses to reach out to you.
Employer accounts require a paid subscription. Each subscription tier includes a number of "credits" used to reach out to candidates. Credits do not roll over month to month and are non-refundable. Employers agree to use applicant contact information only for legitimate recruiting purposes and to comply with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and privacy laws.
Applicant subscriptions begin with a 3-day free trial. After the trial, you will be charged the then-current subscription price unless you cancel before the trial ends. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or by emailing hello@dojo.expert.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change with notice.
do.jo training content is designed to prepare you for industry certifications, but earning a do.jo belt is not equivalent to earning an official certification from third-party bodies (such as CompTIA, ServSafe, etc.). Official certifications must be obtained directly from the relevant certifying organization. do.jo makes no guarantee of employment outcomes.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
All do.jo lesson content, branding, code, and design are the property of do.jo. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute this content without our written permission.
Content you submit (such as your resume) remains yours, but you grant do.jo a non-exclusive license to display it to employers as part of the Service.
do.jo includes AI-powered features (AI sensei, AI recruiter) that generate text based on your inputs. AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies. Use AI suggestions as a starting point, not as authoritative advice.
You may delete your account at any time through account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, do.jo and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
